Should I pay closer attention to my latest events
Since last Monday, not much is different in my life. The exception to this statement is becoming a fan of my hometown (actually the hometown of my high school) on facebook. This has been a good place to reconnect with old classmates and take a trip down memory lane. We were remembering the different businesses that Pacific had when we were younger. I knew the old Miller's Sandwich Shop was vacant from a previous trip when I visited my dad. I asked if the shop was still vacant and if anyone knew who had the property now. I got several responses back. The first response was answering my original question. He told me the original owners' daughter has all the property, that it was never sold. The following responses inquired if I was going to open a business similar to the shop's past. I wasn't really asking from a business standpoint, but I was just saying to my mom and sister that I would really like to pursue a catering business full-time instead of the sporadic jobs that come my way. I have always had great success with these jobs. In the meantime, mom got a phone call from a retirement center in Pacific where her name has been on a waiting list since late summer '09. We made tentative plans to go out and see the progress on the new condos on Saturday. My sister came to St. Louis Friday for a few days and we all took a field trip to Pacific to go to the retirement center and to have some lunch. Mom, for some reason, got off the highway onto the first exit that will take you into town. This route takes you right to the old sandwich shop. Of course, we stopped. My sister and I got out and looked through the windows to see what the old shop currently looked like. Pretty much all the walls, windows, counter and the sinks are left from the previous days. It would take a lot of work to make it operational as a restaurant but definitely doable. What has really caught my interest is that it would take less work if I started a catering company out of it and then worked toward opening to the public. At this time, I am trying to decide if I should pay closer attention to these latest events or am I reading too much into it? I think I will have to look into it more and decide if these latest events are along my road to happiness. Is this my destination or just a quick stop before continuing on.

My Road to Happiness
Creating a blog page is something I never thought I would do. As of right now, I will use it to share my journey on the Road to Happiness. I am happy by nature, but I feel I am still traveling on the road looking to fulfill my passion in life. These things I know are true about me, I love my family and friends, I love to read, I love to cook, I love to travel, I love the outdoors and I love seeing people find pleasure in the simple things in life. I know somewhere in all these things I love is my life's calling; that everything I have done, am doing, or about to do will lead me to find purpose for my passion giving me complete happiness.
